The Mothman Prophecies PG-13 (2002)

Richard Gere, Laura Linney, David Eigenberg

Film Filter: On- When John Klein unexpectedly and suddenly loses his wife to a brian tumor, he uncovers some unsettling pictures she drew that cause him to question her death.  Two years down the road, John finds himself in a small rural town called Point Pleasant, with no memory of how he got there.  He, the town sheriff, and community members are all spooked by an entity dubbed the Mothman, and what's more frightening is the fact that this supernatural presence has the ability to see into the past and the future, predicting horrific events in which many people's lives are lost.  The question is will John be able to resume his normal life, or will he slowly begin to lose his mind as he continues to stalk the Mothman in hopes to prevent worldwide disasters.
Things to note: Good use of symbolism, good cast, interesting topic based on true events, story loses focus, some events lack believability.
